The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe day-to-day operations of multiple assigned sites, including the management of site personnel, site-specific equipment, and contracts. This role involves ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of assigned assets across all sites, while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The Regional Manager will be tasked with hiring, developing, and disciplining employees as needed, and will work to become thoroughly familiar with site-specific equipment and contractual obligations at each location.
What will do you as a Regional Manager:
Site Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of assigned sites, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Deploy traveling technicians with appropriate skill sets to match specific tasks and site needs.
- Monitor performance metrics across multiple sites, identifying and addressing any issues that may affect productivity or safety.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees at each site. This will include ensuring compliance with safety observations, LOTO, JHAs, safety meeting attendance as well as holding site-specific orientation for visitors.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of all site-specific equipment, systems, and technologies used at the various sites.
- Ensure all operations across sites are following the terms and conditions of contracts, agreements, and warranties.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service and support across all sites.
- Manage financials related to travel expenses and optimize cost-efficiency.
Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and manage site personnel across multiple sites, including hiring, on-the-job training, and development of employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement across all sites.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all operations, maintenance activities, and incidents across all assigned sites.
- Prepare regular reports on performance, safety, and personnel management for senior management across the region.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements across all sites.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost reductions across the region.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in solar/BESS power operations.
