We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Roofing Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, with the ability to lead and manage a team of roofing professionals. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to solve problems on the fly. Job responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of roofing professionals and oversee the following:
Roof Inspections, Assessments and Repairs:
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify roof damage or structural issues.
- Collaborate with the team to determine the scope of repairs needed to make roofs solar-ready.
Roof Repairs & Maintenance:
- Perform repairs and replacements of shingles, tiles, metal panels, or other roofing materials.
- Work with the team to address leaks, water damage, and other structural issues.
- Reinforce roof structures to meet load requirements for solar system installations.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other roofing technicians and project managers to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Assist team members as needed to complete jobs efficiently and to company standards.
Customer Communication:
- Provide clear explanations of necessary repairs to customers when required.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication throughout the repair process.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations at all times.
- Use fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document inspection results, repair details, and job completion notes is a must.
- Communicate effectively with the solar installation team to ensure seamless project coordination.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proven experience as a Roofing Crew Leader or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of roofing materials and techniques.
- Proven experience in roofing repair and maintenance, including working with shingles, metal, and tile roofing systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate on projects.
- Knowledge of roofing safety protocols and structural integrity principles.
- Ability to work at heights and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Work on rooftops in various weather conditions.
Preferred:
- Experience in roofing for solar energy projects or similar industries.
- Familiarity with roof load requirements for solar panel installations.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
