Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to perform the installation of electrical components for residential photovoltaic (PV) solar systems. This role involves working on-site to install, wire, and commission solar equipment in accordance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes. The ideal candidate has experience in residential or industrial electrical work and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar-related electrical equipment, wiring, and devices in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards.
- Serve as the on-site electrical lead, providing guidance and technical direction to the solar installation crew.
- Assist with site preparation, material staging, and equipment setup to ensure efficient and safe installations.
- Complete and maintain detailed documentation of each project, including system diagrams, photos, and installation notes.
- Ensure timely and professional communication with customers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with established guidelines and maintain proper vehicle records.
Qualifications:
- Active state-issued Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required).
- Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with residential or commercial solar PV systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work safely on residential roofs and at heights for extended periods.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, and to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
