Description
Trinity Solar is seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Technician to support the installation and servicing of residential solar energy systems. This role focuses on service upgrades, utility meter relocations, and the integration of electrical equipment including batteries, wiring, and other components. Ideal candidates will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical systems, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar battery systems for new customers and retrofit existing systems with energy storage solutions.
- Perform electrical service upgrades and utility meter relocations in compliance with company standards, project specifications, and all applicable national and local electrical codes (NEC).
- Troubleshoot and repair solar electrical systems, components, and devices as needed.
- Serve as a technical lead on service calls or installations, providing guidance to team members as appropriate.
- Assist with material staging, equipment setup, and job site preparation while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Accurately document all work performed, including photographic evidence, system diagrams, and service notes; ensure timely submission of reports.
- Interact professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Comply with all company vehicle operation protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- State Electrical License not required, though familiarity with electrical standards is essential.
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Previous experience in solar or residential electrical work is preferred, but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor conditions; must be able to safely climb ladders and work on rooftops.
- Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs. regularly.
- Must pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and drug screening.
